To get him to expose the weakspot in his mouth you have to leave the safe spot long enough for the Queen Sand Worms to spawn. If you don't/can't get this Rocket Launcher then use a combination of Scarlett's incendiary Revolver and a decent Sniper Rifle. The 2 weak spots on his head can destroyed in one shot, the one in his mouth takes two shots but the one on his heart takes about 4. The best weapon for this fight is the Unique 1-shot-Rocket Launcher you get as a quest reward (I can't remember the name off-hand). There is a really fast and cheap way to kill the Leviathan: On the left-hand side of the room there is a ledge with 2 ammo chests on it, by standing behind them the Leviathan will not spawn any worms and none of his attacks can hurt you (or at the very least will do only minimal damage). If you're having trouble with the Leviathan fight, there's an easy exploit that will protect you from any of his attacks and no Sand Worms will spawn until you let them (Credit to Terminator for this tip). If he doesn't open his mouth and just stands idle, kill some sand worms and he will open up pretty soon. The one in his mouth is the last one you will need to destroy. 2 are located on his neck, one on his chest and one in his mouth. You need to hit the huge blue spots with white dots on his body. You can't just shoot the Leviathan and damage him.
All you need to be careful with are the many sand worms that will spawn. His attacks are pretty easy to dodge and not that strong. Whilst he's pretty huge he shouldn't be that difficult. Also, be careful with the acid pools that are all over the place. They're great for activating kill skills if you have any and when you find yourself in a Fight for your Life stance, these can help you gain a second wind. He will spawn some Skags and/or Rakk, they can be pretty annoying but don't focus too much on them. If you keep your distance you have nothing to worry about, not his attacks at least. Once you reach the final mission "X Marks the Spot" you'll face 2 bosses. The main missions are pretty straight forward and most of the bosses you encounter shouldn't prove too much difficult. Trying to take on a level 57 Captain Flynt with level 50 gear - yeah, have fun with that one.Completed the mission "X Marks the Spot". Bad Idea to start UVHM at a lot over 50 - your gear will be level 50 at best, your enemies will be at least your level, with bosses and badasses being you +2. UVHM starts at a minimum of 50, but always scales to you. Originally posted by z00t:The aim of TVHM is to complete it as close to 50 as you can. You do not need to complete one before starting the next one. They are not connected - they have their own story line. Just keep an eye on your level when you are doing the DLC's and have fun. Seriously, it is important that you start UVHM as close to 50 as you can. Whenever you do start the DLC's, bear in mind that you will not be able to complete them all without becoming over level for the start of UVHM. It is also a lot easier to farm for them in TVHM once you get your characters to UVHM.
You do not need to complete the DLC to be able to get tokens. These let you buy legendary (Torgue) Item of The Day guns and grenades.
Tina's because of the class mods and assorted 'magic grenades', the Grog Nozzle mission weapon, the treants drop Bee shields - lots of good gear available. Torgue's once I have got to the bandit technical stage in the main story. I generally start Tiny Tina's as soon as I reach Sanctuary in TVHM. If the gun is important to your character, it makes sense to leave the start of the DLC until much later, so the reward will be higher level and last a bit longer in UVHM.
The famous Sandhawk smg from Captain Scarlett's is a story mission reward and cannot be missed. When to start the DLC's can depend on your character, and the gear you will be wanting for them.
